Do I need an online ticket or is there a box office?
We recommend purchasing your ticket online in advance. Not only will this save you waiting time at the entrance, but tickets are also slightly cheaper online. You can also purchase tickets online during the trade fair weekend. There will be a box office on site, but you may experience longer waiting times there. For seniors and people with disabilities, there is a ticket office that provides support and also helps with Test ride.
Who is eligible for a discounted ticket?
The discounted ticket is valid for people aged 65 and older, as well as for anyone with a pensioner’s, disability, or student ID. It is also valid for people performing voluntary service (Federal Voluntary Service, FSJ, FÖJ, or voluntary military service), as well as for companions of people with severe disabilities (with disability classification B).
Are there discounted tickets for children and teenagers?
There is a special youth ticket for teens aged 12 to 17. Children under 12 get in free and can visit SPEZI no SPEZI .
Can I bring my dog to the trade fair?
Dogs on leashes are generally welcome. However, please bear in mind that SPEZI can get SPEZI crowded and noisy. The exhibition halls are often very busy. It is important that people who are afraid of dogs are always able to avoid them.
Is the SPEZI also valid as a public transport ticket?
Yes! Your SPEZI is also a combined ticket for the RVF (public transport). You can travel there and back free of charge on the day the ticket is valid. You can also use a Frelo bike (Nextbike) free of charge for 60 minutes. Any remaining time does not expire.
Accessibility
How accessible are the travel arrangements and access to the venue?
The convention center is centrally located and well-connected to public transportation. Both the trains to the main station and the trams to the convention center are low-floor vehicles. The path from the stop and from the ample number of accessible parking spaces directly in front of the main entrance to the venue is barrier-free. The entire grounds are accessible without steps.
How much space is available at the fair for wheelchairs and walkers?
The premises are designed to accommodate mobility aids: Aisles are at least 1.20 meters wide, and there is a minimum clearance of 1.50 meters throughout the venue. Doorways are 0.90 meters wide, and door thresholds are no more than 2 centimeters high. It is easy to navigate the exhibition hall using a wide variety of wheelchairs and walking aids.
How do I get to the lectures on the first floor (elevators)?
A 0.90-meter-wide elevator is available for access to the first floor. If this width is not sufficient for your mobility aid, there is a second, wider elevator in the building. Since this elevator is located in an area where another event is taking place at the same time, access is only possible after a brief consultation and with an escort from our team.
Is there a special cash register or equipment available for rent?
Yes. There is a special ticket window for people with disabilities. Our team will assist you there with purchasing tickets and registering for test drives. You can also borrow a wheelchair or walker at this window.
Are there accessible restrooms available?
Yes, there are plenty of accessible restrooms available. These are clearly marked on site.
Are there discounted tickets available for people with disabilities and their companions?
Yes. Discounted tickets are available for both people with disabilities and their companions (provided the ID card includes the appropriate notation, such as "Merkzeichen B").

What's the best way to get there by train?
Freiburg has excellent rail connections. You can easily reach the trade fair from the main station—for example, by taking tram line 4 (toward "Messe") or the Breisgau S-Bahn. Handy tip: Your SPEZI is valid as a public transit ticket on the RVF network on the day of purchase!
Where can I park my bike?
The bike ride to SPEZI from all over Europe SPEZI legendary! That’s why we’ve set up a special bike parking area right on the grounds just for you. The exact coordinates for the parking lot are: 48°00'54.6"N 7°50'21.6"E.

How do I get to SPEZI by car, SPEZI where can I park?
In Freiburg, simply follow the signs for "Messe." There are plenty of parking spaces available for visitors right at the exhibition grounds. The parking fee is €5 per day.
Which airport is the nearest one?
If you're flying in from further away, EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is the closest option. From there, there are regular bus connections (Airport Bus or FlixBus) to Freiburg Central Station.
Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is a great alternative. From there, you can easily take a direct ICE train to Freiburg. From Freiburg Central Station, you can then simply take the tram to the convention center.

Accommodation & Camping
Is there a camping area for visitors?
Yes! SPEZI on its fantastic community. There is a designated camping area in the immediate vicinity of the exhibition grounds. As spaces are in high demand, you should book your tent ticket early in our ticket shop. You can find more information here: spezialradmesse.de/unterkunft
Where can I park my camper/motorhome?
Campers and motorhomes are generally permitted to stay overnight in the visitor parking lot. This costs €5 per day. When the trade fair toilets close at 11 p.m., the toilets on the tent field must be used (approx. 150 m away). What do I need to know about test drives?
You must register in order test ride . You will find QR codes everywhere so you can do this with your smartphone. We will assist you at the senior citizens' ticket office if you have any problems. You must show your ID card briefly Test ride each exhibitor for every Test ride . Helmets are mandatory for S-pedelecs. You may only leave the test track with the exhibitor's permission.
Is there a private sale or second-hand market?
Absolutely! You can sell your bike privately. There is a designated area for this next to the bike parking lot. No permit is required and there are no costs involved.
