The time-honored locksmith's shop of the LauffenmĂĽhle, is simply called the Old Locksmith 's Shop. Smoke and soot have disappeared, but the smell of metal, oil and fire is still in the walls and floor.

On the SPEZI weekend on April 27 and 28, 2024, exciting lectures, travel reports and panel discussions will take place here.

Danube - With cargo bike and dog

Andreas Eller starts with his dog Lotte on a two-wheeled cargo bike from Douze Cycles at the source of the Danube. In Vienna, Andreas switches to a wooden electric cargo bike from Rethink Bikes. The journey continues through Hungary to Belgrade in Serbia. The Danube flows around 2,850 kilometers from its source to its mouth through the extensive Danube Delta into the Black Sea. Andreas experiences 7 of the 10 Danube countries and has a lot to tell.

Iceland with a difference

Like 1.7 million other visitors, Dirk PrĂĽter set off to travel around Iceland in the summer of 2016. Unlike most people who come, he takes eight weeks, travels on three wheels and under his own steam and can say at the end: it wasn't just the sights that inspired him, it was above all the journey there.

Workpacking - My year as a digital cargo bike nomad

Velopreneur Gunnar Fehlau lived and worked as a digital nomad for a year, riding over 12,000 kilometers through Germany on his e-cargo bike and sleeping outdoors for more than 220 nights. The book about this unique tour will celebrate its premiere at SPEZI 2024: the first copies, hot off the press, will arrive at the fair by express and will be available for browsing and dedications. Recumbent Tour Through Balkan Countries

Karel Triska's family riding on recumbent bikes, followed the Danube river from its source to the Black Sea and back through Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and up the Croatian coast back home. A journey of more than six thousand kilometers will take you through well-known and lesser-known places and show you the hospitality of the local residents.

"Records are there to be broken," said Mark Spitz. With the support of HPV Deutschlands e. V., riders are constantly trying to set new records. A film about this celebrates its premiere at the SPEZI!

Six European countries on a recumbent bike

"The recumbent tour starts in my hometown Zell am Harmersbach in the Black Forest, near Strasbourg, with the destination of the IHPV World Championships at Deal, as well as the cosmopolitan city of London. In two months with over 2000km of adventure in summer 2018, the most beautiful digital images and video clips from the following countries will be presented:

Germany, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, England and Holland!
